PeckShield安全人员跟踪分析发现，Newdex交易所上同时存在两个名为EETH的代币，分别是基于bitpietokens合约锚定ETH的EETH高价代币和基于ethsidechain合约的低价代币，两者价差悬殊。由于Newdex在做交易处理时没有对发行代币的合约和交易memo做校验，导致攻击者（xxxxcoinxxxx和wanhaowandeo）以低价代币假冒高价代币进行“同名混淆”交易。总共4个账号尝试攻击，最终有两个攻击者成功攻击。PeckShield安全人员分析认为：低价EETH（ethsidechain）代币发行于今年7月17日，然后于同年10月19日上线Newdex交易所，而高价EETH（bitpietokens）代币于当日发行上线，所以不存在假EETH代币一说。[2018/12/12]
